7 Days Rongai Route

The 7-Day Rongai Route is one of the less traveled routes on Mount Kilimanjaro, making it an excellent option for those seeking a more peaceful and quiet experience. The Rongai Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the northern side, which is typically drier than the southern routes, offering different scenic views throughout the trek. This route is ideal for climbers who prefer a gradual ascent, with good acclimatization opportunities, and it provides a unique experience due to the differing ecosystems.

Benefits of the Marangu Route

Fewer Crowds:

Compared to other routes, Rongai is less crowded, offering a quieter and more peaceful trekking experience.

Diverse Scenery:

This route passes through remote wilderness areas, showcasing varied landscapes from rainforests to the unique desert-like Saddle.

Gradual Ascent:

The Rongai Route’s gradual elevation gain reduces the risk of altitude sickness, providing trekkers with a higher chance of success.

Unique Wildlife:

You’ll have the chance to spot wildlife such as buffalo and colobus monkeys, which are rare on other Kilimanjaro routes.
